Task in SMART-AGE
The researchers in this part of the project are investigating the potential of digital support and enrichment options for social networking and participation, as well as potentials and barriers for sustainable use of SMART-AGE technologies in general. Relevant determinants for a successful diffusion of the technology are e.g. its relative advantage over other systems, compatibility with given structures and usefulness. These determinants are discussed and evaluated on different levels for the SMART-AGE assistance systems. In addition to older people and their relatives, representatives of organizations and institutions in the health sector, administrations and political actors will be included.
The research methods used follow a mixed-methods paradigm, combining quantitative and qualitative survey methods.

Goal
Our goal is to identify the best and most sustainable ways to help older adults critically access digital assistive technology resources according to their specific needs.
