In the field of sociology, she implemented new approaches to qualitative online research and conducted self-designed synchronous online group discussions concerning sustainable consumption. Since July 2021, she is employed as a PhD student in SMART-AGE via Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. She is currently researching the practice of "doing nothing" and associated mental activities (daydreaming, reflexivity processes) in older age in the context of the digitalization. She investigates the influence of technology use on "doing nothing" and the importance of the living environment in these processes
