Biography

Anna-Lena Schubert studied psychology at Heidelberg University (Germany), where she received her PhD in psychology in 2016 under the supervision of Dirk Hagemann. Afterwards (Aug 2016 – Dec 2016), she worked as a visiting researcher at the University of California, Irvine (USA), with Joachim Vanderkerckhove and Michael D. Nunez to develop a model-based cognitive neuroscience account of individual differences in processing speed. She returned to Heidelberg University (Germany) as a postdoctoral researcher (Jan 2017 – Apr 2021), where she was appointed head of the junior research group “Neurocognitive Basis of Intelligence” in Dec 2018. Since April 2021, she is Professor for Analysis and Modeling of Complex Data at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz (Germany). Her main research interest lies in the development, application, and evaluation of statistical and neuroscientific approaches that can be used to describe individual differences in cognition.
